As newer technologies replace existing ones, they throw open a host of ethical questions. We need to reflect on many issues if ethics in biomedical sciences is to have any meaning at all. Surrogate motherhood implies using the womb of another woman to obtain a child conceived of the husbands sperm and wifes ovum because the wife is unable to bear the child.
